For the Chicken
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped or left whole
- 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
- ¾ cup chicken stock
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- 0.6 ounces dry Italian dressing mix (Good Seasons recommended)
For Serving
- 1 pound angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions
Instructions
- Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner.
- Place chicken breasts and garlic into the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, soften the butter and cream cheese. Whisk together until smooth.
- Add the cream of chicken soup, chicken stock, and dry Italian dressing mix to the butter-cream cheese mixture. Whisk until fully combined.
- Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, or until chicken is tender.
- Optional: About 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time, shred the chicken with two forks and let it simmer in the sauce.
- Meanwhile, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain well.
- Serve the creamy chicken and sauce over the angel hair pasta.
