Slow Cooker Angel Chicken Recipe

These Roasted New Red Potatoes are the definition of simple and satisfying. Halved red potatoes are tossed in olive oil, seasoned with salt and pepper, and roasted until golden and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. For the Chicken

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped or left whole
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
  • ¾ cup chicken stock
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 0.6 ounces dry Italian dressing mix (Good Seasons recommended)

For Serving

  • 1 pound angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner.
  2. Place chicken breasts and garlic into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, soften the butter and cream cheese. Whisk together until smooth.
  4. Add the cream of chicken soup, chicken stock, and dry Italian dressing mix to the butter-cream cheese mixture. Whisk until fully combined.
  5. Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, or until chicken is tender.
  6. Optional: About 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time, shred the chicken with two forks and let it simmer in the sauce.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain well.
  8. Serve the creamy chicken and sauce over the angel hair pasta.
