  • 6 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 6 tablespoons mixed berry jam
  • 12 slices challah bread
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons raspberry-flavored liqueur
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of jam on one side of 6 slices of challah bread.
  2. Top each prepared slice with another slice of bread to create 6 sandwiches.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, raspberry liqueur, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the sandwiches in batches until golden brown on both sides, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  6. Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup.
