- 6 tablespoons peanut butter
- 6 tablespoons mixed berry jam
- 12 slices challah bread
- 1 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons raspberry-flavored liqueur
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or as needed
Instructions
- Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of jam on one side of 6 slices of challah bread.
- Top each prepared slice with another slice of bread to create 6 sandwiches.
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, raspberry liqueur, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the sandwiches in batches until golden brown on both sides, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
- Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup.
