To make this refreshing Southern-style tea punch, you’ll need:
- Tea Base:
- 3 cups boiling water
- 12 sprigs fresh mint
- 4 tea bags (black tea preferred)
- Sweetener & Citrus Flavor:
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 5 cups cold water
- Garnish:
- 3 orange slices
- 3 lemon slices
Instructions
- Steep the Tea:
- Place tea bags and mint sprigs in a large pitcher.
- Pour boiling water over them and let steep for 8 minutes.
- Remove and discard the tea bags and mint, squeezing out excess liquid.
- Sweeten the Tea:
- Stir in sugar while the tea is still warm until completely dissolved.
- Add Citrus & Cold Water:
- Pour in orange juice, lemon juice, and cold water, stirring well to combine.
- Serve & Garnish:
- Serve over ice cubes, garnished with orange and lemon slices.
