  • Total Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • Strawberry cake mix (15.5 oz box) – The base ingredient for these flavorful brownies.
  • Unsalted butter (½ cup, melted) – Adds moisture and richness.
  • Large eggs (2) – Helps bind the ingredients and gives structure.
  • Vanilla extract (2 tsp, divided) – Enhances the sweetness and depth of flavor.
  • Fresh strawberries (3, chopped) – Brings a natural fruitiness to the glaze.
  • Confectioner’s sugar (1 ½ cups, or more as needed) – Creates a smooth, sweet glaze.
  • Kosher salt (¼ tsp) – Balances the sweetness and enhances flavors.

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep – Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly grease an 11×7-inch baking dish.
  2. Make the Batter – In a bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Bake the Brownies – Spread the batter evenly in the prepared dish and bake for 16-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Cool Completely – Let brownies cool in the pan for 20 minutes.
  5. Prepare the Glaze – Puree chopped strawberries and remaining vanilla extract using a food processor or immersion blender.
  6. Mix the Glaze – Stir strawberry puree into confectioner’s sugar, adding extra sugar if needed for the right glaze consistency. Mix in salt.
  7. Glaze & Set – Spread the glaze evenly over the cooled brownies and let them sit until fully set.
  8. Cut & Serve – Slice into 12 squares and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
