- 1/3 cup protein powder (32g)
- 1/4 cup flour (35g)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup egg whites or additional water
- 1/4 cup yogurt or applesauce
- 2 tbsp sweetener of choice
- 2 tsp oil (optional for crispy waffles)
Instructions
- Whisk protein powder, flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
- Stir in water, egg whites or additional water, yogurt or applesauce, and sweetener to form a batter. Add more liquid as needed, a tablespoon at a time, to achieve the desired waffle batter consistency.
- Preheat the waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Grease the waffle iron well once it is hot.
- Pour batter into the center of the waffle iron and close. Cook according to the manufacturer’s directions until the waffle is light and crispy. Re-grease the waffle iron before making each waffle.
