  • 1 (32 ounce) package frozen potato tots (about 6 1/2 cups) (such as Ore-Ida® Crispy Tater Tots)
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of chicken soup (such as Campbell’s®)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 5 cups shredded rotisserie chicken (from 1 [3 pound] chicken)
  • 4 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/4 cups cooked and crumbled bacon (about 10 slices), divided
  • sliced scallions

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep – Preheat oven to 450°F (200°C) and coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Bake the Tater Tots – Spread tater tots on a baking sheet and bake for 35 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove from oven and reduce heat to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Make the Creamy Chicken Mixture – In a large bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, ranch dressing, ranch mix, black pepper, and granulated garlic.
  4. Combine Ingredients – Fold in shredded chicken, Cheddar cheese, and 1 cup of the cooked bacon until fully coated.
  5. Assemble the Casserole – Transfer the chicken mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Top with crispy tater tots.
  6. Bake – Bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbling around the edges.
  7. Garnish & Serve – Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup bacon on top and garnish with scallions. Serve hot and enjoy!
