Dough and Fillings
- 1 pizza dough, rolled into a rectangle on a floured surface
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup pepperoni, sliced
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Finishing and Serving
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Layer the pepperoni slices over the cheese.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over the pepperoni.
- Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, tucking the ends in as you go.
- Place the stromboli seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg to give it a golden brown finish.
- Cut a few small slits on the top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
